VOTE FOR LEADERSHIP THAT
Listens
TO THE COMMUNITY
Based upon the most recent special-census, Nolensville is now home to just under 18,000 citizens. The views of each of these wonderful citizens and their household are important and should be considered when casting each and every vote as a member of the Board of Commissioners. In present and past public service roles, Russell Gill has demonstrated his innate ability to connect with others and understand their needs and expectations.
If elected, he will continue his well-regarded pattern of reaching out to neighbors across Nolensville, and invest the necessary time to listen and respond to their stated goals. What is best for Nolensville's immediate and long-term interests will be Russell's guidestone in making decisions as a member of the Board of Commissioners.
LEARNS
FROM DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES
The late Tennessee Senator Howard H. Baker, Jr. often quoted his father by saying "You should always go through life working on the assumption that the other guy might be right." Russell Gill will approach his service on the Board of Commissioners in a similar experience. Russell will listen and learn from the perspectives of others, even those with whom he may not presumably agree with on a specific issue. By his rough estimate, a member of the Board of Commissioners casts circa 1,000 votes over a four-year term. It is implausible that any one member can know every detail about every issue, so a willingness to learn from others is imperative. Russell looks forward to learning from his neighbors, colleagues, and the great staff at Nolensville Town Hall as to the myriad of issues upon which he will be casting a vote, during this four-year term, if the voters of Nolensville elect him.

His educational background includes a bachelor's degree from Belmont College and a law degree from Nashville School of Law. Russell has run for office once before - as a write-in candidate for mayor of Nolensville in 2018 - and was appointed in 2020 to serve for an interim period on the legacy Board of Mayor and Alderman. In 2023, Russell was one of three Williamson County lawyers submitted by the Judicial Nominating Commission for Governor Bill Lee's consideration for appointment to a vacancy on the 21st judicial district's circuit court bench.
